Sculptural Bowl 1
This handcrafted stoneware bowl combines sculptural elegance with functional design. Partly wheel-thrown and partly hand-built, the vessel’s top was shaped using a Tupperware mold — part of an ongoing exploration of transforming disposable plastic into lasting ceramic forms. By reimagining plastic shapes in clay, the piece speaks to sustainability, permanence, and beauty beyond the throwaway.

The fluted rim creates a striking play of light and shadow, while layered glazes in deep green and earthy tones highlight the carved texture. The interior reveals a softer, more subtle surface, offering contrast and depth.

Fired to cone 6 (1220°C), the bowl is strong, durable, and one-of-a-kind. At 7.5 cm high and 23 cm wide, it works beautifully as a statement serving piece, a fruit bowl, or simply as a decorative centerpiece.
